I had a mixed experience at Hotel Wales. The king suite I stayed in was spacious and comfortable, and the location was pleasantly quiet. However, the service left a lot to be desired, particularly regarding management's response to an unfortunate incident with my car after using their valet service. It was frustrating to deal with inadequate customer service and a disappointing standard room experience as well. 😕

The king suite was spacious and comfortable, perfect for my stay. However, the standard room I saw was quite tiny, lacking basic amenities like in-room coffee and efficient closet space. 🚪

While some staff, like the parking valet, were friendly, my interactions with management were frustrating. It took multiple calls to address the damage to my car, which left me feeling neglected.

The hotel had convenient valet service, but I was disappointed with the lack of complimentary coffee in the room and the limited amenities in the standard room. I would have appreciated better follow-through from management.

I had a unique stay at Hotel Wales. The room I got was on the smaller side, but it was clean and had a nice, elegant vibe. Unfortunately, my shower didn't work properly, which was a bummer. Despite the hiccups, the location near Central Park and the friendly staff made up for some of the frustrations.

Rooms

5.0/10

Overall, my stay at Hotel Wales had its ups and downs. The charm of the hotel and its prime location near Central Park really stood out, which made exploring the area a breeze. However, I had a pretty frustrating experience with the elevator situation that cut into what could have been a perfect trip.

Rooms
6.0
My room was spacious and clean, but I ended up in an interior room that was always dark. The furnishings were decent, but the noise from the street kept me from getting a good night's sleep.
Service

Most of the staff were friendly and helpful, but a few seemed indifferent. Loreen really stood out with her warm and welcoming demeanor, but the rest could've used some of that energy.
Location
8.0
The location was fantastic for getting to museums and Central Park, which I loved. It's in a quiet, residential area, so I appreciated the tranquility, but it also meant that things closed early. A bit of a trade-off.
Dining

I enjoyed breakfast at Sarabeth's, which was just outside the hotel. The food was amazing, but I would've loved more options available directly at the hotel.
Facilities
6.0
The hotel had some nice features like a rooftop terrace and free coffee and tea available, but the elevator situation was a hassle. The decor felt a bit outdated, and one of the elevators was painfully slow.
